About BAY-ATI
By conducting uptodate technological research BAYATI serves pre-eminently the domestic industry, especially to improve competitiveness and economic effectiveness of innovative enterprises. Among the aims are integration into the research and development projects of the European Union. Through participation in EU projects technology transfer and information flow to other members of the innovation chain are improved. Endeavors to facilitate regional cooperations.
The Bay Zoltán institute for Materials Science and Technology was opened in 1995 in Budapest. Within the up-to-date materials science, the art of structural materials is an important element of development of the domestic economy, and has crucial importance in enrichment of international connections and in enhancement of competitiveness. Inbetween the challenges of knowledge based economy innovation related development is a key factor to the European integration, its basic tool is quick and comprehensive latch on to domestic and international research and development cooperations.
The research and development work of the Institute concentrates on development of new materials and on improvement of properties of materials already in use. BAYATI received remarkable recognition in the last years, and got into the international circulation of applied sciences.
Beside the experienced researchers the Institute employs Ph.D. students, as well. The senior researchers give lectures at the Budapest University for Technology and Economics, at the University of Miskolc and, at the Eötvös Lóránd University. Participate in the work of domestic and international committees, in many cases are members of leading boards.
The mission of the Institute reflects in its profile and in the activities of the departments. The research projects continuously comply with international tends and domestic needs.
